Privacy Policy
Kleron is a brand of Lake Hillier Holdings Pty Ltd, ABN 47 701 476 182 ("we", "us"). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This policy covers this website and the waitlist. Kleron is not yet offering carrier screening, so we do not collect genetic information, test results or health records here. A separate policy will cover the screening service, and you will be asked to read it before you order a test. Please do not send health or genetic information through this site.
What we collect, and why
When you join the waitlist we collect your name and email address, plus anything else you choose to tell us if you contact us. When you browse the site, we and our analytics providers collect your IP address and approximate location, your device and browser, the pages you view and how you arrived, and identifiers stored in cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We use it to add you to the waitlist and tell you when the service opens, to answer your questions, to understand and improve how the site is used, to measure our advertising, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we will not use your details for an unrelated purpose without telling you first.
Consent and opting out
Joining the waitlist is voluntary. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time using the contact details below.
Who we share it with
- HubSpot hosts the waitlist form and stores your details, in its Australian region.
- Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) measures site usage and advertising performance.
- Cloudflare serves and protects this website.
We may also disclose personal information where required or permitted by law. Some of these providers operate outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No method of storage is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
We keep waitlist details until the service opens and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. There is no charge. If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
